The appointment according to the rules laid is for a tenure of either 6 years or reaching g the age of 65. The process of selection has so far been arbitrary.
The best solution would be to advertise in the paper as for gazetted posts in the central Government, with the qualification of IAS, IPS or related office cadres with a degree in law.
The candidate must possess credentials to support his public and moral life by her or his senior associates
An interview should be held by a sitting judge not lesser than a high court, an IAS in the Government Service appointed for the purpose of selection of candidates for different services, a public personality of renown with no political leanings.
Till such time this malady will continue, why slow 75 years, it can be a 2047 too!
