- National Institute of Siddha (NIS) has set a Guinness World Record for providing Varmam therapy to 567 individuals simultaneously.
- Siddha Varmam therapy – It is a very unique, non-invasive, cost effective, non-pharmacological form of treatment.
- Usage – Used in treating complicated neurological diseases, ortho and musculoskeletal diseases, autism spectrum disease, and cerebral palsy in children.
- Varmakalai – The martial art form associated with Varmam.
- In Siddha medicine, it is a scientifically grounded therapeutic practice used to treat acute and chronic diseases, including stroke, arthritis, and trauma-related injuries.

Ganges River Dolphin Tagging

- India Conducts 1st ever Ganges River Dolphin Tagging in Assam.
- This is the 1st tagging for the species and this milestone is a significant advancement of Project Dolphin.
- It was implemented by the Wildlife Institute of India (WII) in collaboration with the Assam Forest Department and Aaranyak, with funding from the National CAMPA Authority

National Centre for Seismology (NCS)

- Role – It is the nodal agency involved in monitoring seismic activity across the country with the help of National network consisting of 166 stations.
- They are aimed at better earthquake monitoring, early warning systems, and research into seismic activity.
- Nodal ministry – It works under Ministry of Earth Sciences.
- Soon 100 more seismological observatories will be added to the seismological network of India by NCS-MoES.

Centre for Climate Change Research (CCCR)

- Established by - Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES)
- Established at - Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune
- Role – To conduct research studies related to the science of climate change.
- It has also led the Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX) for the South Asia region for generating high-resolution regional climate change projections, which are frequently utilized for assessments of the impacts of climate changes on different sectors.

Climate Hazard & Vulnerability Atlas of India

- It is a web-based online portal.
- Prepared by – Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)
- Role – It maps the 13 most hazardous meteorological events, which cause extensive damages and economic, human, and animal losses.
- It will help State Government authorities and Disaster Management Agencies plan and take appropriate action to tackle various extreme weather events.
