· These messages and weather alerts can be disseminated through television, mobile phone messaging and social media platforms by urban local bodies in particular have a responsibility to care for the large number of vulnerable city dwellers.
· Reviving the traditional water storing systems especially in cities to have adequate amount of water.
Role of state government
· Increasing the human resource capability of Panchayats and ULBs to chart out an effective plan to handle heat wave.
· Reasonable financial devolution to local bodies to strengthen financial resource ccapabilities.
· Helping in Conducting frequent mock exercise and table top exercise with help of SDRF to handle the effects of heat waves.
Conidering the General elections 2019 Both State and Local governments need to wowrk in coherence to increase the voter turnouts despite facing the heat wave situation.
