KEY POINTS
· The Kalamsat V-2 is a communication satellite prototype built entirely by students and fresh graduates(Scientists) with help of Private organisation, Indian Space Kidz.
· This acts a major breakthrough where ISRO opens the door for participation of private players in Space technology.
· Further this launch encourage young minds to invest in research and development, and also aligns with programme of ISRO Samwad with Students to instill scientific temper in their minds.
· The satellite being dubbed as world’s lightest satellite, that too built in the span of 6-7 days, with help of 3D printing. This shows that advancement in the field of Science and technology is taking place at a rapid progress.
· Experimenting with orbital platform in the fourth stage of PSLV helps to reduce the space debris and uses the rocket as a platform for conducting experiments in space.
· The wisdom behind this launch corroborates with provision enshrined in the Fundamental duties of Constitution of India, i..e to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform [Article 51 A(h)]
