Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana

• It enables guardians to open a savings account for their girl child with an authorised commercial bank or India Post branch.
• The SSY account can be opened by legal guardians of the girl child provided the girl shouldn’t be more than 10 years of age.
• The individuals can open an account with as low as Rs. 250 and they also have to invest a minimum of Rs. 250 to keep the account active.
• The maximum amount that an individual can deposit per year in a Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana account is Rs. 1.5 Lakh.
• The maturity period of an SSY account is 21 years.
• Partial Withdrawal of 50% for girl child education can be done when she cleared 10th class or turned 18 years.
• The provision of not allowing the withdrawal till the age of 18 is to prevent early marriage.

Gobardhan Scheme

• The Galvanizing Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan (GOBAR-DHAN) scheme is implemented under the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin-Phase 2, by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation under the Jal Shakti ministry.
• It was launched in 2018.
• The initiative aims at attracting entrepreneurs for establishing community-based CBG plants in rural areas.
• It encourages farmers to consider dung and other waste not just as a waste but as a source of income.
• It will be easier to keep the village clean and sanitized, livestock health will improve and farm yields will increase.

• Didayi is one of the 13 particularly vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) in the State of Odisha.
• Bondas are the first forest settlers in India, believed to be migrated from Africa about 60,000 years ago. They are also part of PVTGs.
• Earlier, Bondas were settled in Jeyapore hills of Odisha. Now they can be seen in other districts of Odisha and part of Andhra Pradesh.
• Recently, Didayi tribal people have tested positive for Covid-19 and their access to the nearby Bondas settlement was restricted.

National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)

• It was launched by the Ministry of Tourism in the year 2014-15 with the objective of integrated development of identified pilgrimage and heritage destinations.
• The scheme aimed at infrastructure development such as entry points (Road, Rail and Water Transport), last mile connectivity, basic tourism facilities, etc.

HRIDAY Scheme

• The main objective of HRIDAY Scheme is to preserve character of the soul of heritage city and facilitate inclusive heritage linked urban development by exploring various avenues including involving private sector.

• Like bees, they are plant pollinators, and they provide population control for a number of plant and even insect species by eating them. 
• Scientists use the presence or absence of butterflies as a predictor of whether an ecosystem is healthy.

YUVA – Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors

• It is an author mentorship programme to train young and budding authors below the age of 30.
• Those who are interested to write on themes such as national movement, unsung heroes, freedom fighters can register themselves at mygov.in.
• These books will be launched on National Youth Day (January 12, 2022).
• The winner will also get a scholarship worth Rs. 50,000 per month for a period of six months.
• The National Book Trust, India under the Ministry of Education as the Implementing Agency will ensure phase-wise execution of the Scheme.
• The books prepared under this scheme will be translated into other Indian languages.
