Jute Corporation of India (JCI)

Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) of Raw Jute for Marketing season 2025-26.

• The Jute Corporation of India (JCI) serve as Central Government Nodal Agency to undertake Price Support Operations and the losses incurred, if any, in such operations, will be fully reimbursed by the Central Government.
• JCI was incorporated in 1971 as a price support agency.
• JCI is the sole implementing agency of Jute I-CARE Project through which advanced cultivation technology and retting technology are propagated among jute farmers.
• Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) of Raw Jute for Marketing season 2025-26.
• The MSP of Raw Jute (TD-3 grade) has been fixed at Rs.5, 650/- per quintal for 2025-26 season.

123 Agreement

• India US Civil Nuclear Deal is also known as 123 Agreement is a legally binding agreement between the United States and other countries for peaceful nuclear cooperation.
• India agreed to separate its civil and military nuclear facilities and to place all its civil nuclear facilities under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards.
• United States agreed to work toward full civil nuclear cooperation with India.

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)

• ABDM aims to create a nationwide digital health ecosystem by integrating healthcare service providers and patients through unique health IDs.
• The mission fills critical gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance and health research through:
• Health ID – A unique identifier for individuals to store and share medical records.
• Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) – A comprehensive database of registered healthcare professionals.
• Health Facility Registry (HFR) – A digital repository of healthcare facilities across India.
• Unified Health Interface (UHI) – An open network facilitating digital health service.

“Digital Tree Aadhaar” Programme

• A “Digital Tree Aadhaar” programme has been launched by the Jammu and Kashmir government for conservation of the majestic Chinars.
• Under the initiative, the chinar trees are being geo-tagged and equipped with QR codes that record information, including its geographical location, health and growing patterns.
• The campaign involves use of modern technology, including Geographical Information System (GIS), to create a comprehensive database for conservation of the chinar trees.
• The initiative aims to safeguard chinar trees from threats such as urbanisation, deforestation, and habitat degradation.
• The project is being spearheaded by J-K Forest Research Institute (FRI) of J-K Forest Department.
• The QR-based digital plate is affixed to each surveyed Chinar tree using a specialised spring-enabled metal.
• Each tree is given a unique id like Aadhaar specifying the year the tree is surveyed, the district it is located and a serial number for easy identification.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT)

• National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) was set up in the year 1982 as an autonomous body for coordinated growth and development of hospitality management education in the country.
• Initially, the Council was set up in the name of National Board of Studies in Food Management, Catering & Nutrition under the administrative control of Ministry of Agriculture (Deptt. Of Food).
• It was subsequently it was transferred to Ministry of Tourism in the year 1984 with renaming as National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. 
• It works under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism.
• It is the premier and largest player in the field of Hospitality and Hotel Management education in India.
• The Council regulates academics in the field of Hospitality Education & training that is imparted at the Institutes of Hotel Management and Food Craft Institutes.
